Visitor guidance Lower Inn

In this project, supported by Interreg Bavaria-Austria, various project partners along the Lower Inn are faced with the challenge of designing visitor guidance and information in a cross-border region in a uniform and clear manner. Until now, each project partner has used its own templates with individual colours and design features, which makes recognition and consistency in communication difficult. Different target groups – including tourists, residents and nature lovers – need guidance and information that should be conveyed in a consistent manner in order to strengthen the perception of the region as a coherent area in relation to the Lower Inn European Reserve.

This project pursues a cross-border approach to utilise an existing corporate design, which was developed for the Naturium am Inn and has so far been used exclusively by it, for the entire region along the Lower Inn. This ensures a uniform presentation, information and appearance for visitors throughout the project area. Through the cooperation of regional partners on the Bavarian and Austrian sides of the Inn, a compact handbook and templates can be created that can be used across borders and easily adapted. This promotes a uniform appearance and consistent communication and supports orientation along the Lower Inn on both sides of the border.

The aim of the project is to develop a uniform and flexible portfolio of templates that provides target groups with a coordinated image for orientation and information along the Lower Inn. The expected change is that visitors of all kinds will find it easier to find their way around the region and will be accompanied by a harmonious, uniform image of the templates along the course of the river. The templates, which are uniform for all project partners and include flyers, posters, information boards and signposts based on the existing corporate design of the Naturium am Inns, will improve the region's recognisability. In addition, a uniform appearance conveys a coherent identity for the Lower Inn.
